Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This site, trichurtvs.com, is operated by Trichur Automobiles (trade name: Trichur TVS), the authorized TVS Motor Company dealer for Thrissur, Kerala, India. Our main showroom is at No 11/206, Ernakulam Road, Gosaikunnu, Kuriachira, Thrissur 680006, with branches in Chalakudy, Paravattani, Paliyekara, Kodakara and Annamanada.

2. What information we collect

We collect personal information only when you choose to give it to us, plus a limited amount of automatic technical information when you visit the site:

  • Lead-form data: name, phone number, optional WhatsApp number, optional email, model interest, preferred showroom, preferred date and any message you write. This is submitted when you book a test ride, request a quote, ask about service, or send a general inquiry.
  • Analytics data: anonymised page views, scroll depth, click events, browser type, device type, approximate geographic region, and session recordings, collected via Google Analytics 4, Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Microsoft Clarity. See section 5 for details and how to opt out.
  • Server logs: standard web-server logs containing IP address, request timestamp, requested URL and referrer. Retained for 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
  • Cookies: see the Cookies section below.

We do not ask for or store financial account numbers, government IDs (Aadhaar / PAN) or biometric data on this website. Loan paperwork involving such data is handled in person at the showroom.

3. How we use your information

  • Call you back within 2 hours of a lead-form submission to answer questions, share an on-road quote or schedule a test ride.
  • Confirm test-ride and service appointments via SMS, WhatsApp or phone.
  • Send model-specific information, current offers and EMI quotes when you have asked for them.
  • Improve the website using aggregated, non-identifying analytics on which pages are popular, where users get stuck and which CTAs work.
  • Comply with legal obligations (RTO registration paperwork, tax records, finance partner KYC requirements).

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share lead data with any third party other than our finance partners (when you specifically ask for a finance quote) and the relevant showroom team that will handle your enquiry.

4. Legal basis (for visitors from the EU/UK)

For visitors located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases under the GDPR / UK GDPR are your consent (analytics cookies, marketing communication), performance of a contract (when you book or buy a vehicle), and legitimate interest (security logging, fraud prevention, basic analytics).

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and equivalent local-storage techniques in three categories:

  • Strictly necessary: required for the site to function (session, security, your cookie-banner choice). These are always set and cannot be turned off.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*) and Microsoft Clarity (_clck, _clsk) help us understand aggregated usage. Loaded only after you click Accept all on the cookie banner.
  • Marketing: Meta (Facebook) Pixel (_fbp) lets us measure ad performance and reach similar audiences. Loaded only after you click Accept all.

You can change your choice at any time by clearing the tvs-consententry from your browser's local-storage and refreshing the page. You can also block cookies entirely via your browser settings.

7. Data retention

Lead-form submissions are retained for up to 24 months from the last interaction so we can answer follow-up questions and service customers post-purchase. Anonymised analytics data is retained per the third-party processor's default (Google Analytics 4: 14 months; Meta: per Meta's policy; Clarity: up to 1 year). Server logs: 30 days.

8. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • Confirm what personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or outdated information.
  • Delete your data (subject to any tax / regulatory obligation we have to retain it).
  • Opt out of marketing communications by replying STOP to any SMS, replying STOP on WhatsApp, or emailing us.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (e.g. India's Data Protection Board or your EU/UK supervisory authority).

Requests are handled by emailing trichur.thrissur@tvsmdealers.co.in with the subject line “Privacy Request”. We respond within 30 days.

9. Children

The site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. All test rides and vehicle purchases require a valid driving license, which means the rider is 18+ for two-wheelers in India.

10. Changes to this policy

When we make material changes, we update the “Last updated” date at the top and, where appropriate, surface a prominent notice on the home page. The current version always lives at https://trichurtvs.com/privacy.
